The Harper Cabinet fast tracks Imperial Oil’s 8 billion dollar Kearl mine tar sands development, despite a Federal Court judgment said the approval was partly incomplete on the issue of greenhouse gases, and a court case by environmental groups to halt the development.
The development will equal the emissions of 800,000 cars.
